The Peace School Programme Award Ceremony cum Future Thinking Round table gathered 21 schools that participated in the Peace Schools Programme and more than 40 educators and experts at the THEi to celebrate the hard work of schools. Participants shared insights on the future of the planet amidst anti-refugee sentiment, the rise of AI and mental health problems amongst the youth.
Highlights
Fireside Chat: Rotary leaders and journalist Ms. Susanna Chiu-Yung Cheung shared insights on current affairs, such as segmentation within communities, anti-immigration sentiment in democracies and suicide prevention in Hong Kong.
Keynote Speech: Ms. Helen Or of Explorer Futures Lab, Dr. Albert CC Cheuk of THEi and Mr. Tommie Lo of Preface shared their thoughts on the rise of AI, the role of the THEi in nurturing Hong Kong’s youth and the resilience of Hong Kong’s financial system.
Future Thinking Roundtable Discussion: Educators and experts facilitated discussions regarding the UNSDGs and how they could be used in the future.
