Organisers’ Information

The UNESCO HK Association Glocal Peace Centre (GPC) and the Rotary Action Group for Peace HK and Macao Chapter (Chapter) are co-organizers of the Programme.

GPC promotes and supports the vision and mission of UNESCO to build peace in the minds of men and women. We actively promote peace education, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable development across Hong Kong and Macao. (https://peacecentre.unesco.hk/)

The Chapter is part of the RAGFP global network. This collective network of Peacebuilders promotes positive peace education and is dedicated to building a sustainable, peaceful world. (https://www.ragfphkmac.org/)

Together, RAGFP and GPC co‑organize the Peace School Programme, supporting schools in Hong Kong, Macao and beyond to integrate peace education, global citizenship, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their curricula.

Peace School Programme Annual Insight Report

The Peace School Program has officially entered its 6th year, having been launched in 2021. The Peace School Program recognises school efforts in 4 key areas of Community Services, Sustainable Development Goals, United Nations International Days, and Culture & Actions for Peace.

The Program aims to provide training for educational professionals and young leaders, hoping to connect schools through relevant activities and helping in reframing school activities towards purposes of achieving peace. By channeling values education towards positive peacebuilding, it guides students to turn core values into actionable everyday practice. Original activities include but are not limited to Peace Camp, Virtual Cultural Exchange, and related peace initiatives.
